Welcome to Tiny Bootprints!
I believe in celebrating the distinct flavour of every city, town or village, far from what tourist pamphlets can provide. While every place has glitzy landmarks that attract tourists in droves, little dare to explore and live through the quintessential aspects unique to that place. It could be walking along a quaint alleyway dotted with cafes, watching a herd of sheep scuttle past your jeep, or singing along with the crowd during a parade... every place has something we cannot find elsewhere. A traveller sees very differently from a tourist, and we want to see what makes a place uniquely the place it is.
❉ Till date, I have visited the following countries: Singapore, India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Ireland (Rep. of), Northern Ireland & England. However, I visited most of the abovementioned Asian countries as a kid and it wouldn't do them justice if I relied on my memory from 10+ years ago to review them on the blog. If and when I visit those countries again, I create a page for them.

About me
I am Mallika, a hard-core traveller from India. While everyone else used to be busy with colouring books or comics, I would pore over the world map on my bedroom wall when I was young, trying to capture all the places in my head. By the age of 10 or 11, I knew in which country almost every city was, and I could easily locate any country on the map. As I grew, I realised that I had a burning love for travel and exploration.
I started this blog as a way to document my travels to the different places I visited, so that others can not only get first-hand information on these places, but also appreciate the value and charm each place holds.
